Leo's Blind Tasting Group - Sept '10 edition (Txikito, NY): Great aromatics! Fresh raspberry and cherry notes seasoned with spices and touches of earth, very elegant in the mouth but quite primary with youthful red fruited flavours on a silky, polished frame, quite long and elegant.

nice medium ruby color, but initially the wine had a complex nose with notes of leather and meat, but quite angular and acidic on the palate. With some time and aeration, it rounded out nicely, but there was always more structure than fruit. And the nose seemed to become less noticeable. Still a nice villages Gevrey, small of scale but interesting darker fruit with a hint of spice and moderate length. There is no reason to hold onto this any longer.
