Black. -berry, -currant, and olive. Alongside purple flowers, earth, and hickory smoke. All pretty classic Syrah notes. The palate is velvety, the acidity is nice, and the tannins split the difference between suppleness and grip. I would also say this splits the difference between the Old and New World styles, I’m liking the structure, and I’m at least intrigued by the fruit and aroma.
