Best bottle (Belsers Restaurant, Nürtingen): Glass: Spiegelau Definition Universal Tasted double blind. Clear, deep ruby color. Nose with massive red and black fruit, white pepper, some lactic notes. Deep. On the palate round, creamy, lots of fruit, white pepper, dense, deep and long with a bright future ahead. 92-93+

A pleasure to return to my favourite wine of Duemani after one year. Organic and biodynamic farming, fermented with 30% whole clusters and macerated for 30 days. Aged for 22 months in FR oak, 80% new, the rest used once. No fining nor filtration. Intense rich aroma of plums, cedar, violets, black pepper, ink, tar, wet earth. Full body, concentrated and nearly creamy with succulent fresh fruit flavours, smoke and cedar notes, peppery hints. Great balance of rich texture, bright acidity and firm grainy tannins.

Great pairing with our denser than usual for us boeuf bourguignon. On its own, it wasn’t very expressive. I suggest to let lay for a handful of years.
