Nose: cider, honey, hints of pear, hints of wild berries apricot, mango, apple pie Notes: disgorged 2022, 2g dosage, 80% pinot noir, 20% chardonnay, made by bought grapes and only less than 3400 bottles made. Slightly oxidative in style and demonstrates some chiseled minerality on the palate. This is certainly a bit different from the owned grapes from Brochet and is a little leaner and I dare say, a little less intense and a bit more steely. Reminds me a little of the La Carelle from Jacques Selosse. Now unfortunately this may not be my favorite style but I certain am able appreciate this stylistic wine. I think this requires a couple more years to show the best of itself so I would cellar this for another 4-5 years. Drink: 2028+ Rating: 90

Emmanuel Brochet New Release (Crab at Bay): 80% PN, 20% C, 8 years in bottle on lees, from purchased grapes, 3586 bottles, disgorged Nov 2022, 2g. Orange, citrus, slightly oxidative notes probably due to the lees. Palate is rich, expansive and fresh. Oxidative notes more prominent on the palate. This is much better than the bottle I had tasted 2 months back.
Clink Clink Champagne Tasting Event (Warehouse Hotel): 80% PN, 20% C, 3586 bottles, disgorged 11/2022, dosage 2g/l. Oxidative on initial pour, after swirling for quite a bit, fruits and floral notes emerge. Palate was energetic, long rounded finish. Returning back to the bottle at the end of the tasting, oxidative notes still there but reduced. Recommend to decant for at least an hour before drinking.
