I served this in my wine course. Spicy earthy nose, full bodied, fairly ripe. Seems way to primal and needs time for the components to come together. Optimistic this will happen, but needs several years.

ruby coloured and medium bodied. a bit of dust on the bright red and blue berries in the nose, along with a healthy dose of pine needles, forest smoke, and hints of game. rather immediate berry flavour on the entry that unfolds with high-toned acidity and lovely spice notes. savoury and mineral vein grow in prominence in the back end and thru the finish. very polished tannins and very long.
showing well already and one that could peak in short term. there's some upside potential here. not clear on its long-term potential, as the structure is not quite apparent.
13.5% AbV; from 25-y.o. vines on an east-facing plot that allows for long hang times; fourteen months' ageing in oak (5% new).

Medium plus nose shows potpourri, rose petal, dark red cherry, wet rock, pomegranate. Palate nicely expressive, deeper fruit than their other wines, med light tannins are a little more serious, frames it very well. Finish shows youth, just a touch dry, tasty now probably better with some years on it.

This is my third tasting, and it is just shut down right now. I’ll sit on the rest for a few years before revisiting.

Liked, didn't love. Had a nice density and a pure red fruited vibe that I liked. Also had a splintery texture and sorrel notes that I didn't.
