Oregon Trip-Day 2 (Here and there, Willamette Valley): Toasty, heavily reduced nose. Sappy medium weight, marvelously seamless feel. Rich, leesy pear and tropical fruit. Very good acidity but the amount of wood is off-putting and swamps everything else.

Return to Willamette; 7/2/2023-7/8/2023 (Portland & Willamette): This would have been my favorite of the chards if I was a chard drinker. Still had the lightness of the estate but there was a bit more going on with the wine. Honey and spice and just generally more interesting in style.

At winery. Favorite if the Chardonnay’s there. Good fruit. Not toasted layers on it Good acid. Should be good with food and can age
