Medium-bodied, soft, silky, spicy, floral and fresh, with a core of sweet, ripe, vibrant red cherries and powdered chocolate on the mid-palate, and in the elegant finish. You can enjoy this on release, and over the near term while waiting for the Grand Vin to develop. The wine blends 88% Merlot with 12% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2025-2037. 90-92 Pts.

En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Five (Bordeaux): Fresh plum compote is the immediate impression on the nose, very slightly reductive bacon fat, a little red berry underpin. Medium plus intensity acidity, fresh plums, translate to slightly woody, coarse floor textured tannins, very slightly bitterness and non-intrusive alcohol warmth on the finish.
