Out of its infancy now. Could use more acidity. Decent-enough Spatlese, but this isn't a show-stopper by any stretch of the imagination. Gut impression score: mid 80's.

Meh. This showed up at my house, probably someone bringing it to a party. I can see why. An inoffensive and simple riesling with nothing wrong with it, just not interesting. A touch on the sweet side, just a touch.

Lemon pith and a hint of petrol on the nose. Light petrol is repeated on the palate; a bit fat and loose knit; true Spatlese; lacks the zing of the Schonborn's Kabinett from this vineyard. A middle-of-the-road Spatlese. I would have been upset to have paid $34 for this, but it was on clearance for $15, and it is a good buy at that price.
