  i had this jan 08 and it was dark purple. now it is a dark rose/garnet color which tells me it has aged since last tasting. heavy shiraz like nose. Elderberry/blackberry pie on the palate. Smooth, grippy tannins, creamy fruity alcohol finish lasted 20 sec. I know 90 seems high for a $9 bottle, but I will stand by it because it is drinking really nice right now.

  Pop n' pour Deep purple with a dusty pink rim. Medium nose of earth, black fruits, leather. Juicy black plum, sour cherry, liquorice sitting on some medium-strong tannins. Low acidity, medium+ body. Integration is far from seemless and the structure seems a little awkward. Respectable length on the finish. Nothing great , but certainly out-performs it's price point. 3rd day: this wine has held up very nicely and was at it's best after a day open. (4+11+14+7) = 86
