The vintage is showing great, and this is really showing here. Intense chocolate, black berries, slice, fine concentration and still very, very elegant. Wait five years, at least. #podcast

40th anniversary tasting (L'Esprit du Vin - Axelborg): My notes from this fantastic gigantic tasting are in general extremely short (because of the many wines) but with ratings. We spent a whole day tasting and tasting quality wines.
This wine: Presented by Peter Sisseck: Tasted 2022 (barrel sample), 2021, 2020, 2019 are of course way too young right now. All 4 cuvees were deep purple, extremely rich/concentrated, fruity and had very high tannins. The finish was extremely long. 2021 did have the most extreme tannins. 2020 the longest finish.

Black raspberries, plum liqueur, crushed rocks and flowers in the nose only get the wine started. On the palate, what you notice is the racy energy that gives lift to the layers of dark red, sweet, pit fruits. The salty tannins, sweetness, and purity is evident on the mid-palate and in the long, vibrant, finish. The wine blends 80% Merlot with 20% Cabernet Franc.14.8% ABV, 3.5 pH. Drink from 2025-2050. 95-97 Pts.
