  • Absolute undrinkable swill! Furthest I've ever been off my fellow CT drinkers' notes and scores. Opened, sipped, disgusting! Decanted for a bit, disgusting! Tried next day, just awful! Poured literally 9/10 of it down sink. Completely dominated by that classic "cheap red" flavor (meaning, $5 grocery store cheap red). Problem is, it was almost $17, not all that cheap! One of the worst wines I've ever had. And no, no heat damage, not oxidized, didn't pick up hints of either. Just downright cheap disgusting wine.

  • how times & my tastes change - the first review compared to another Sangiovese

This time I drank a wonderful Delas Northern Rhone before ( http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=636163 ) and the Sasyr compared quite well ( and $10 less ). Wine doesn't often make it to day four - but this one did - and continue to drink well.

    Had at 89 -- bumped to 90

  • Very good wine with amazing shelf life after opening. Got better after first day and did not drop off at all as I finished it 3 or 4 days later. Dark color, medium body. Fruity nose and open, but not too sweet or over the top like cheap Australian shiraz. Savory on the mid palate and a long, slightly dry finish.

  • Good value every day wine; can go a few days open without turning funky.

  • Light Aromas a bit of Citrus, not to fragrant, lots of Nice Berry Flavour, Smooth Tannins, and some tartness, and a nice finish, nice wine but loses a few points from lack of nose.
