  • Way too young. I think it's got plenty of acidity for a nice slumber because it's not that zesty acidity that is the hallmark style of say a Bereche. Lack of dosage really does hit you and this is definitely on the leaner side of things. The nose is quite complex but sharp and chiseled while retaining some toastiness and capping off with the slightest hint of black licorice. Will wait at least 5 years, but unsure if there's enough sugar to take this from austere to extraordinary.

    Nose: 91-92
    Palate: 88-89 (for now)

  • 40th anniversary tasting (L'Esprit du Vin - Axelborg): My notes from this fantastic gigantic tasting are in general extremely short (because of the many wines) but with ratings. We spent a whole day tasting and tasting quality wines.

This wine: All Marguet's 6 tasted cuvees were pretty developed. The finish was not that long. I was a little disappointed. Even though it's Marguet's prestige cuvee Sapience has never been my favorite. Agressive mousse. Sapience was actually not developed. It needs time in cellar.
