Giacomo Fenocchio night (Cru and Domaine, Portland OR): The nose is balanced and fresh with red berries, blueberries, red cherries, crushed rocks, violets, roses, and some wild flowers. This is on the straightforward side while showing off decent depth, though lacking complexity. The Medium bodied feel is balanced with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. The structure isn't too overwhelming and there is actually a vibrant wine underneath. Where it does lack is in the complexity department, but it really hits a lot of good notes otherwise.
