Sample pulled from bottling line today. Dark, opaque magenta-purple color. Grapey, jammy berry, scorched earth nose. A little fresher on the palate, with ripe, sweet berry liqueur, red vines licorice, medium(-) acidity and chewy, bittersweet chocolate like tannins. A little EtOH burn going down. Left a glass in the decanter overnight and it's considerably more open and well-integrated on day 2, not at all oxidized, with subtle, well-integrated oak on the finish. Reminds me of the Carlisle style. I'm not a California syrah guy but i can see a lot of people digging this.
