Flannery night at the loft (My place, newk’s loft, Portland OR): This bottle was exactly the same as the one I had last summer. I really dig Flaneur and this was no different. This is for those that enjoy a little more lipstick and sleekness to their Oregon Pinot while still craving acidity

Nose: There is a distinct elegance to the nose with tart red cherries, raspberries, plums, rose petals, morning dew, crushed rocks, red florals, spice notes, and red currants. There is excellent depth and balance with a lovely red-fruited take.
Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. The poise and balance from the nose carries though along with red cherries, raspberries, plums, rose petals, crushed rocks, red currants, and red florals.
Overall: This is quite pretty right now. The structure is deceiving in that there is plenty of room for aging, but the structure isn’t in the forefront. I would love to try this with a few more years of age to see how it develops and if it can add more layers. There is a gorgeous wine here, it just needs to emerge.

Must have been the romance & nostalgia of the rustic barn, where we had a great tasting experience. But now, a month later and with a wine friendly meal - Spanish Pasta, I was much more focused and so, critical. I really tried to give this wine a chance but it never showed any sign of anything redeeming. So much acid (and I like acidity) that I couldn’t sense even a hint of fruit. And, so disjointed and out of balance, it actually ruined the meal. ...and it was not cheap (i.e. a value wine). Can’t fathom how this could ever be mistaken for a 90+ wine.

Wine is ready to drink. Starting to get some strangeness in the glass. Can't identify it but this bottle was different than others.
