  • The colour is a light shade of garnet but very concentrated almost opaque. Nose shows development, has very intense leathery and spicy aromas on a backgrounf of very ripe fruit like fig and plum and spices. In the mouth it is full bodied, sweet round textured and very flavourful - almost over the top. However, tannins are sticking out and are harsh. Flavours in the mouth include chocolate, mint, blackberry and blackcurrant, cherry and loads of ink. Very concentrated, new world style of wine apart from the astringent quality of tannins. Very good though for its price.
