  • Smooth, rich, even passed the peak but still full body and earthy. Love the wine.

  • This wine is definitely more like an Aussie shiraz than any Washington syrahs I've had to date. Saturated dark, opaque purple color. Thick and dense - almost portlike - on the palate. There's definitely a strong spicy oak character, but there's plenty of fruit to support the wood. Notes of vanilla, jammy red fruit, moccha, and a myriad of spices like nutmeg, cloves, and a hint of cinnamon. Just a touch of heat on the finish, otherwise very well-balanced with moderate complexity and a nice finish. Not the kind of wine I'd like to drink frequently, but very nice for a change.
