Very dark color in the bowl, orange on the edge. Similar to previous notes, rich deep concentrated fruit, dark berry fruits, blackberries, black currants, leather, tobacco and hints of licorice and earthiness in the nose. Blackberries and black currants in the flavor. A big wine, delicious, full bodied, complex, well balanced and a long finish. Still drinking well now but if you have any bottles remaining , I'd drink up in the next year or two. This was my last bottle of 1992 Dunn Petite.

This needs air as it's very tightly wound in the first few hours of being open. At hour 4 paired with braised lamb it's finally softened enough to decipher what's going on; iodine, ash, loam, cedar, dutched cocoa, dried mushrooms, dark berry fruit, sour, tannic, and verging on coarse without the food. It's got this severe volcanic mineral sense that would have me calling Aglianico if it were served blind. This is years away from maturity, if it can ever actually get there. Very enjoyable and possibly the most refined old Petite I've ever had.

Decanted 90 minutes, still dark color in the bowl and orange brown on the edge. Similar to previous notes, deep rich fruit, dark berry fruits, leather, and earthiness. Full bodied and a long finish. Delicious now and will go for many more years.

Funky socks on the nose - but that blew off after 30 minutes or so. The palate was fresh and deep, with excellent acidity and resolved tannins. Drinking beautifully. A winner with everyone in our group of 10. Need to find more of this, as this was my final bottle.

Some Italian Wines (Plus Ringers) to Welcome a New Restaurant to Town (Nella Kitchen & Bar, Los Olivos, CA): One of those wines that was more interesting than it was delicious. Massive barnyard on the nose marred the experience for sure. Underneath were notes of dark berries, leather and earth. Long-lived of course, just an off bottle I suspect.
