An exploration of Bordeaux - 2016 vintage (Le Pont, Milsons Point): Initially there is plenty of polished oak here; vanilla; caramel; a little red currant note joins plums and blackcurrant, sweet spice. Fresher and juicier than the Bernadotte; the oak is equally present on the palate, cream, plums, red currant. Woody texture. Needs time for the oak to integrate but rather lovely. Handles it's alcohol well.
I went back to this to run it against the other two right bank wines and it proved itself equally pleasant then as well.
