Slow-O 2 hours, served non-blind. Medium+ ruby, no sign of age. New world aromas of creamy oak, high-toned red currant, sage, toffee bits. Not sure I'd have guessed CF in a blind (or Colorado for that matter). Definitely new world on the nose, but restrained on the palate, allowing it to strike a welcome and effective balance of fruit, acids and tannin. Very good food wine, but could also be enjoyed on its own. Another 5 solid years ahead, perhaps more. Absolutely nailed the pick date here. Sweet, long tannins (American Oak). Cab franc grows so well in Colorado and this wine proves it. Chocolate, dusty dark cherry, cola and a little red licorice. The tannins are still there. This wine could go for years yet. For a little, local joint, Creekside sure makes some interesting Colorado wines.

This wine shows plum, dark cherry, cassis, damp earth and cinnamon on the nose. The palate has a full tannin structure and surprisingly smooth, showing flavors of cola, dark cherry and dark chocolate with excellent balance of the other elements. Definitely has the potential to age longer and I think it could be up to 10 years.
