  • Slow-O 2 hours, served non-blind. Medium+ ruby, no sign of age. New world aromas of creamy oak, high-toned red currant, sage, toffee bits. Not sure I'd have guessed CF in a blind (or Colorado for that matter). Definitely new world on the nose, but restrained on the palate, allowing it to strike a welcome and effective balance of fruit, acids and tannin. Very good food wine, but could also be enjoyed on its own. Another 5 solid years ahead, perhaps more. Absolutely nailed the pick date here. Sweet, long tannins (American Oak). Brava, Michelle! recommended

  • Cab franc grows so well in Colorado and this wine proves it. Chocolate, dusty dark cherry, cola and a little red licorice. The tannins are still there. This wine could go for years yet. For a little, local joint, Creekside sure makes some interesting Colorado wines.

  • This wine shows plum, dark cherry, cassis, damp earth and cinnamon on the nose. The palate has a full tannin structure and surprisingly smooth, showing flavors of cola, dark cherry and dark chocolate with excellent balance of the other elements. Definitely has the potential to age longer and I think it could be up to 10 years.
