  If the nose, on a pot of jam, could augur good things, the mouth is totally blocked. Not oxidized, not dead, but totally monolithic like a block of marble. Maybe he needed more oxygen? Dinners where wines follow one another are merciless for this type of bottle, too timid to be appreciated, but not defective enough to be dismissed.
