No score--no real notes. It was a perfect example of 05 Bourgogne. I really like this pproducer and have visited. This wine did not really speak of them or any real place except regional Bourgogne. Very enjoyable, very happy, no thought required. It also reinforces my theory that the 05s are somewhat shut down. No zing right now but still pleasant.

Solid but unspectacular. Nose gave me some hope that this would be like the Combottes 05, but no such luck, none of that complexity here. P didn't care for this one at all, so it's out as our possible wedding reception wine.

2005 Burgundy Overachievers Tasting (Vineyardgate): Nose is a little muted, but gives nuances of red fruits, with a darker tone. Tastes of gentle, almost sappy red fruits, with well integrated crisp acids. Super juicy. Finishes with some soil notes. This drinks very well today, but is more sneakily structured than the Bouvier Marsannay. Drink or hold.

Pleasant drink with soft, powdery tart cherry notes and a little spice. No real complexity.

Pleasant. Tart cherry and cranberry, a little clove, no real terroir but decent weekday Burg
