Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Pre-Easter tasting (Private Location): What a deep nose, so typical for this special vineyard. Super ripe apricot, nearly a bit of raisins and brown earth (this is so typical for the Doctor vineyard imo). Very harmonious on the palate, lovely acidity, good length. Still so nice to drink.

Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Pre-Easter tasting (@Private location): Never heard about this winery before, but great vintage and a famous vineyard, hey, what can possibly go wrong? Clear, medium golden color. Clean, medium+ intense, developing nose. Deep, with some spices, botrytis, dried apricots, raisings, some vanilla. Lovely perfume! Medium-sweet with well-integrated, medium+ acidity and only 8% abv. On the palate some dark, earthy tones, spices, honey, raisins, ripe stone fruit. Wonderful deep with lots of extract, concentrated, great tension and pressure. Beautiful length. At its peak, but it will stay there at least for another decade. Beautiful! 93

Fantastic. Drinking beautifully, but still many years of life to go. Great acidity and firm backbone from start to its very long finish. I didn't have any hints of mold as described by a previous taster. This is an all around glorious auslese at its peak (where I suspect it will stay for a good long while).

Beautifully clear and pale. Sweet, yet crisp, with strong acidity. Floral and fruity, with a flavour of elderflower cordial and hints of lime and grapefruit. Had a hint of mold when first opened, but this seems to have disappeared. Four hours after opening, the wine now tastes of mandarin. Still seems quite youthful after 20 years; might be better after 30.

Did not lose a speck of it's youthfulness. Just unbelievable. Golden robe with green reflection. Voluptuous nose of peach, apricot pie, almond, lemon grass, kerosene, etc. Panoptic nose continues in the mouth: fresh, round and supple mouthfeel. Vivid fruity acidity. Long and broad mineral aftertaste. A wine I would certainly kill for.
