A Nice Lunch in the Loire (Le Cercle, Bourges, France): Bright yellow with a hint of green. Downplayed varietal character, but fabulous feel with some wood and a tad of residual sugar present. All held together beautifully by crisp acidity of the vintage. Very Cotat-like in its size, presence and gentle sucrosity, and reminiscent of Mellot's Cuvee Edmond. Will live for at least 5 more years. A great achievement.
