Pale ruby in color. Upon opening, there were initial hints of wet chalk that eventually gave way to aromas of black currents and dark plum. This light-bodied Zin is a reasonable go-to as a back-yard BBQ wine but not one that I would seek out again. Minimal tannins, and a medium body and finish.
