  Three hour decant. Super intense magenta color. Violet, blueberry, raspberry, and hickory-infused chocolate. Super dry, chalk palate. Full, satiny tannins on the long finish.
  
  This is youthful, but already very nice. There’s no potential built into my score and this will definitely improve. Like many CF, this may be a bit more floral than I like.

  First ‘21 Herold Franc note.
  Pretty purple/magenta color. Explosive notes of red raspberry jam, florals, inky black fruits, mixed fruit bowl, cream puffs, crushed stones, graphite, hints of bay leaf/herbs but in the background rounding out the incredible fruit and earth notes. Excellent finish. Magnificent expression of Oakville Ranch Cabernet Franc. I’m always impressed by Herold’s winemaking.
