Medium purple/red color. The expressive nose pumps out dark cherry, plum, olive notes, and herbs. The palate is packed with olive, plums, dark cherry, herbs, and with fondue, cocoa. Structurally, this medium-bodied wine has balanced acidity and well integrated tannins. Overall, this was a wonderful syrah with great fruit meshed with olive notes that I love. Hard to go wrong with Lovers Lane on Valentine's Day.

Open 8 hrs. Dark ruby, slightly cloudy. Big aromatics of blueberry, violet, black olive, forest floor, a hint of green bell pepper and oak. Medium texture, ripe, peppery, blueberry, tar, oak, juicy, tangy, layered, firm tannins. Showing really well though it has the structure to improve for another 4-5 years. Nice effort.

It's been almost 3 years since my last bottle of this wine, and it's evolved from a medium-bodied drink featuring bold primary notes of crushed red raspberries to a more savory and sauvage mouthful of still unmistakenly ripe, juicy California fruit. Sitting in a comfortable middle between Arcadian/Arnot-Roberts/Cabot and Alban/Saxum/SQN, this really is a pretty wine that has aged gracefully and offers real pleasure for the tariff.

Good wine, dark and brooding. A little simplistic, not too much depth.

So good with just a touch of air (20 min or so). Just yummy!
