Viscous dark yellow. Rich nose of honey, lemon curd and tropical notes. Heavy mouthfeel slowburn build through a complex mid-palate of lemon, toasted brioche and ripe orchard fruits. Residual sugar very apparent but balanced by riveting acidity that takes over the long final. If asting this blind I am not at all sure I would have placed this as a S African Chenin. In fact, to be honest I suspect I would have thought this was a particularly flamboyant and rich Meursault....
Perhaps not to everyone's taste but this ticks many of my boxes. Big, round, complex and balanced with interest and superb fruit.

Popped and poured. Medium yellow. Acacia honey, floral and orchard fruit bouquet. Palate is broad and follows bouquet with residual sweetness well balanced with excellent acidity. Lip smacking final that resonates. Paired amazingly with Panang curried bream.

Medium gold colour. Relatively high viscosity. Honeysuckle and apricot, shows a little oak and just off dry but decent acidity to balance. Great depth.

Popped an poured. En apperitif this was, as always, superb. Complexity, deftly balanced residual sugar and acidity, clean and long final.

My last bottle - certainly time for drinking it up as the wine has gone deep gold in colour - delivers a powerful brew of honeyed peach and apricot.
