Community Tasting Notes (1)

Pale honey colour. After immediately opening I got almonds, wood, apricot, honey, and minerals on the nose. There was some spice (cinnamon?) on the palate and a surprisingly dry finish. After a while the citrus notes on the nose and palate, as well as the smokey finish, became more prominent. The oak is very well integrated. This wine may be a little filling on its own and I recommend serving with food (also don't serve the wine too cold). On the first night the wine was a brilliant match with spicy/smoked wild boar sausages (saucisson) from Corsica. On the second night the wine showed very well along side the lemon/ginger Cornish hen dish that I typically serve with white Burgundy wines.
