The 2006 is evolving into an excellent vintage yet again, with memories of the 2002. The nose is rich and full of light fruit. One hour after opening, the wine opened up even more with excellent balance and structure. Round on the palate but with a good finish. Typical CB.

Dark red robe. On the nose the wine strikes with a bit of spices and red fruits. In mouth, the fruits almost looks candied and there is slight meatiness at the end. People around the table thoroughly enjoyed it but I found it a bit aloof.

a "lost" bottle that was opened with some trepidation - surprisingly it was delightful - full of fruit with good length - delicious!

Continues to impress. Definitely should be opened at least one hour before consuming. Light, fruity but with structure and balance.

Boerne Wine Club - New Zealand (Scenic Loop Cafe, San Antonio, TX): Rather closed nose with cranberries and cherry. Lush mouthfeel, with tart cherry flavors adding a touch of meat on the finish. Rather simple and one dimensional.
