Covenant, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, 2003: Tasted blind. This bottle was stored in absolutely impeccable conditions since its release, and it shows! Dark purple in color. On the nose, ripe blackberries and cassis, with hints of toasted oak and roasted herbs. Full-bodied and deeply extracted, with high intensity on the palate which features layers of ripe dark forest berries, juicy plums and chalk. Medium-plus acidity with integrating yet slightly chewy tannins on a long and plush finish. Drink now-2020. 14.5% Abv. 93+
