This (the last) bottle seemed already a bit "over the edge". Would say that we got the best kick out of 2005 some two years ago. Anyway - looking forward to getting some younger vintages. Highly recommended.

Much better than most recent bottle of this wine. Red sangio fruit with some darker fruit too. Some earth and a bit of leather. Good acid. Well balanced. Very nice for $20.

Very good. Fruit profile a bit darker than I expected. Signficiant earth notes. Tannins present, but not overwhelming. Medium wieght. Good acid. Decent QPR for $20.

Blind Sangiovese Tasting (Living Room): Funky earth dominates the nose on this wine. The fruit flavors start out dark but evolve into some nice bright fruits. Blackberry --> Apple. Quite interesting. The mouth feel is a little strange, but I like the feel of the tannins.

Disappointing. Profile of a cheap $12 chianti.
