Was surprised at how fresh and alive this carefully cellared bottle was. Absolutely delicious with cedar planked salmon, no signs of premox, still fresh and delicious

Thursday Night Grab Bag (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): the nose seems a bit oxidized. lots of socks, peanut shells and hazelnut paste. the palate s creamy, but there's not much fruit at all. good acid keeps it interesting and fun.

Tasted August 19, 2006 at an offline. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Nose of wet stones, spice and a waxy/paraffin aroma. Flavors of yellow apples and pears with a mineral base. Soft and supple on the palate with medium acidity and body. Nice Meursault. Drink over the short term. Based on a current retail price of $36.99 I’d say the value here is between agreeable and recommended.

No signs of premox, still fresh and well balanced. We drank over 2 hours and it only got better with time.
I bought this from WineBid and had serious doubts as to what shape it would be in. Kudos to the auction house for selling me a great bottle.

Oxidized nose with nuts, sherry and vanilla bean coming through. The palate ranged from interesting to poor.
