Earthy yet refreshing. Smooth finish. Not enough going on to rate any higher. A very good price at a restaurant since it goes for around &160 retail. Capital Grille has never disappointed me in their pricing if I stay away from over priced “names”.

Still very dark in the decanter, but with brick red highlights. Nose is a bit thin and has bay leaf, but also dried cherries, prune, and raspberries. Palate is significantly more depth and complexity. Cherry cordial and other red berries. A round wine, with thick chewy tannins and big, mouthcoating feel that opened up over 2 hours. Its nearing the end of its life, but still a good wine.

Smoky, earthy cherry and touch of brett/leather aromas lead to a bit of a clipped finish. Drink now or hold. Tons of fruit left.

Terrific wine. Tasted with same year Montelena Estate cab.
This one seems like it’s at its peak. Montelena has quite a few years left in it.
