  • It was a very nice treat, but this legendary wine have seen its prime days. Color, and nose were age appropriate- very cognac-like on the nose, dark gold color. On the palate you still have some of the original fruit but it was clearly more on the aged (or even over aged abit) side. Medium finish, and it was a treat but it was also a lesson learn-sometimes holding them too long is simply not worth it. It was acquired from an excellent storage history, but still- time did speak on this one. It was a great one to share, and first served blindly- all identified it is a well aged champagne, but the question was- how old? It was one to enjoy, but clearly its peak days are gone. I would say to drink up if you still hold them. Even if the bottle held perfectly since release, it is time

  • The wine looks yellow brown colored. It smells like honey, diacetyl (butter), toast, cedar and medicinal.
