Doft med gula mogna äpplen, oxiderade toner, aningen espresso och choklad. I stort sett helt utan mousse. I smaken även här gula mogna äpplen, aningen apelsin och touch av kola. Fin syra och mogen frukt i bra balans. Även här oxiderade toner men absolut inget som stör eller tar över.

An intriguing nose rises from the glass. Apples, oxidized sherry tones, sauternes fruit, licorice and subtle herbs. On the palate this is as complex as on the nose. Yellow apples, butterscotch, fudge, fat butter. Second layers fans out showing licorice, oranges, some chocolate, sauternes fruit, touch of bitterness on the very end. Long and very complex, with an acidic finish. Very good and interesting indeed, and still very much alive and fine. (91 - 92)

Champagne BYO including two 1973s (Stockholm): Amber colour, no mousse. The nose shows oxidation notes with sherry, decaying winter apples, and some oranges. Fruity and slightly sweet on the palate, oranges and winter apples, high acidity. 89 p.
More tired than the 1973 Pommery, but still sticks together.
