  • Dark violet in the glass. Blackberry, vanilla and licorice on the nose. Thick and full bodied, the tannins well integrated. Ripe cherry and plum flavors with a touch of peppery spice. Nice medium to long finish. Paired with baked Virginia ham, roasted potatoes and carrots. A consistently delicious and well made Shiraz.

  • Heavy vanilla oak and blackberry on the nose, obscuring any subtlety at first. After about 20 minutes hints of currant and licorice come through. Rich mouthfeel over a solid but mellow tannic backbone. More fruit than spice on the palate, which is consistent with the previous bottle. Nice medium length semi dry finish without any excess heat. Throws a bit of sediment at the end.

  • Black cherry, plum, licorice and vanilla oak on the nose. Medium to full bodied with a soft tannic structure. Ripe blackberry and boysenberry flavors mid and forward palate. Almost absent of any spices in contrast to previous vintages. Long and smooth finish, although plain. Paired nicely with medium rare grilled rib-eye steaks, baked potatoes and salad.
