Community Tasting Notes (3) Median Score: 80 points

  • My last dry bottle of an unsatisfactory series of mid-90s vintages bought at the estate. This one was par for the poor course. Deep golden colour, very oxidative with notes of nuts, honey and a little wax, lively acidity and a long but sourly cloying finish which I can still taste. I have taken out another bottles for dinner's turbot and may use this with cooking.

PS 8/6/15: Taking a glass from the about 2/3 remaining (some already in cooking), there seemed to have been improvement with the oxidative notes more in the background as other the aromas had developed. The sour cloying finish was obscured by a mouthful of food. Still duller than it should be and much inferior to the excellent Jasnières which I substituted for it.

  • Dark golden color, nose is very nutty with honey as well. Lemon and and pineapple pallet that is somewhat creamy. The finish is very acidic. Much better than the first bottle of this I opened but still along way from 91 pts. Drink now

  • Had this at Thanksgiving. The wine was very sour and did not offer much. I will hope it was a bad bottle.
