Cellar Tracker tells me I should not have this wine as it doesn't appear in the cellar, so some clerical error must have occurred. I am jolly glad I do have it as this was quite gorgeous. Let's just say these wines can age well (and why not?), and I would declare many years left at this point. Color is a deep ruby with just a little transparency on the rim - certainly no bricking evident. Voluptuous on the palate - and not any of that barnyard funk but floral and ripe fruit. Concentrated and smooth, oodles of dark fruits and a super long finish. I recall some of Archery Summit being quite tannic in younger years but not a trace here.
Popped-and-poured Ripe black fruit everywhere to start, with sweet spice and very good concentration. Earth started emerging within 20 minutes, then kept getting more pronounced. Clearly getting tired by the one hour mark, but overall a rich and tasty wine. But not a great value wine, given it released at >$100 fifteen years ago.

Bright red color. Faint strawberry nose. Vibrant fruit, raspberry, black cherry, pepper. Polished tannins, good acidity, fair balance. Finishes long, sweet and lovely. Smooth mouthfeel with food, it becomes more vibrant and better balanced. It started to fade at the 1 hour mark. I'd drink up, it's enjoyable right now.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like prune, strawberry jam, blueberry, cherry, mineral, light toast, honeysuckle and violet. It tastes like prune, strawberry jam, raspberry, blueberry, cherry, dust, stoniness, light toast, honeysuckle and violet. The body is medium/full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
