Not sure what WS was tasting (77PTS?), but this was a great wine in my opinion, and one of the best whites we've ever had from Niagara - Deep gold, full bodied with a nose of grapefruit, grass, lime, dust and vanilla, very complex, well made amazing texture, sour, silky smooth on the finish with terrific length (91 Points).

Great wine. Holding up very well four years after the vintage. Pretty aromatics of guava, passion fruit, smoke and beeswax. The depth and viscosity on the palette makes you think it has some Semillon in it, but it's all Sauvignon Blanc. The oak aging is noticeable, but the wood is well integrated into the wine, providing a bit of smokiness and roundness to the wine's mouthfeel.

Deep straw; grapefruits, lemongrass, minerals; citrusy, creamy, medium body, beautiful balance, good acidity, lingering finish. Typical SB flavours were each noticeable yet balanced with a slight butteriness. This opened up impressively. A winner with lobster salad and good Chardonnay alternative for the wife.
