Popped and poured at a restaurant, very nice showing, fully resolved and well integrated. It has aged in balance with red cherry fruit, cinnamon and saddle leather. Certainly did not have the wow factor for me but this bottle is in great shape. Little bit of volatile acidity.

Quite evolved in colour and on the nose. Mushrooms, undergrowth, spices, some fruit lingering in the background. On the palate bright and firm, not very generous, even a little thin at times. Quite linear towards the finish, medium length. Drink up. 89-91

Full nose has black cherry, iron, earth and spice. Mature red and black cherry with plenty of complexity and depth, but only moderate concentration (that highlights why Charmes is lower on the GC pecking order). AOC hierarchy not withstanding, this is a complete wine that is in a great drinking zone and demonstrates the potential and beauty of aged Burg.

At Boston Wine & Poker: Tasted blind. A lovely, gentle mature wine.
Many thanks to Karl for this treat.

light red berry on the nose, metallic hints, hint of citrus; med plus acid, decent finish. I expected more based on the vintage.
