Much heavier, more pungent, layered and with a LONG finish, then the 2008 vintage. All most a bit too much for my taste. Don't like my Zins quite so in my face. But this is an excellent choice for any one who likes an over the top Zin

Decanted (probably not long enough). There was hardly any aroma at all when I opened the bottle and poured into the decanter. I was concerned there was something wrong with this bottle. It took about 30 minutes to even start to shed some faint aromas of white pepper. This is not a typical Zin. Had flavors of cherry and white pepper and spice. I wish I would decanted for several hours. Next time I will know. 50,5,12,15,6=88

Great earthy Zinfandel loaded with black pepper and other spices. This had the most distinct nose of any Zin I have ever had. Can't describe it and not for everyone, but the fruit was secondary to the nose. Intoxicating in more than one way. Lushous fruit on the back end of the palate that lasted looong. Great balance and acidity for a Zin. Note to the Paso Robles vineyards who think Napa can't make great Zin; you should check out what D-Cubed and Robert Biale are doing because its amazing stuff.

BIG fruit...but not overbearing like many of the new fruit bomb reds. The classic Zin fruit and spice is well balanced. Guests should look for this wine beofre coming over!

Big notes of celery and black pepper on the palate. Excellent Zin.
