Dark plum, black cherry, herbs and pepper spice on the nose & palate. Somewhat light bodied and fairly short finish. For $9, it's a pretty good value and as others have mentioned, this wine is better with food.

Lots of dried herbs and savoury notes on the nose - dry, interesting red and black fruits with a good dose of acidity and fine tannins. Red cherry and red plum. Excellent food wine. Excellent value at $9.

(CARAZITA) DEAL Dear Friends, Those of you that have swooned over the NV Carazita are in for a real treat with this vintage cuvee. From a great year (2004 has been well-documented in southern and coastal Italy), this Aglianico is about as close to free as I can get a wine from Europe right now. You can look up the commentary on the NV cuvee of this wine, but that is what doesn't make it into the cut for this wine so you can use your own imagination with how good of a value this is. We don't have much at this price (30-50% off) so I'll leave it at that. ONE SHIPMENT ONLY directly from the source with perfect provenance HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as a crazy value that will amaze many. 2004 Tenuta Ponte "Carazita" (Aglianico) Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Italy7122

From memory, but a decent wine for what it is, an entry level Italian. Don't see any benefit from aging.

A notch better than the last bottle. Interesting nose and nice fruit on the palate. Lots of acidity. Good value.

This wine is still drinking nicely. Agree with others that the weight of the grape means that it works best with food.
