  • Light red. No sign of age. Open nose of ripe plum, vanilla and spice. Soft, velvety, cold fruit on the palate. Fresh with ripe plum fruit. Minerals. Polished tannins in a warm and long finish. Finally coming around! Drink within next three years.

  • 1/6. Pale garnet/mahogany core, pale mahogany rim. Nose is quite developed, showing liquorice, mushroom, underlying black cherry/plum fruit, touch of soil. Understated, quietly aromatic. Light/medium bodied, liqouricey fruit with a fine, but firm tannic spine still, balanced acidity, finish lingers nicely though it is still a touch firm. Gently savoury, moreish. Very good indeed, no hurry for this IMHO.

  • Great showing. This is not a grand terroir and in this vintage, what it has to say it says quietly. This will never show well among a group of wines at a dinner, or out of bad glasses at a restaurant with pungent food like I tried last time. So maybe it isn't as versatile as other wines, or as grand as more grand Burgundy. But it is entering a window of maturity, and it shows a subtle depth of flavor including a smoky hard spice element, and there is a prominent minerality, especially on the finish. If i had more of this, I'd drink it at home out of the right bowls, with unfussy food whose quiet flavors would allow this subtle wine to shine.

  • 2 hour slo-ox. I had a bottle of this two months ago also. Tonight's bottle drank very nicely, but was a bit lighter on the palate than the bottle two months prior. Day two and the wine took on a bit more weight and more vibrant fruit. Finish was lengthy with a bit of elegance. This may need a bit more time in the cellar.
