Sommelier Journal

  • By Ben Narasin
December 2008, (See more on Sommelier Journal...)

(Adelsheim Pinot Noir Calkins Lane Vineyard) Glistening, translucent ruby color. Mild sour-cherry and red fruits and a touch of spice on the nose. Soft, lush mouthfeel opens with fresh red fruit, followed by a frothy mocha, moving to sour cherry, bitter almond, and dried orange peel, finishing with mocha. A perfect wine for a brisk fall day, calling up images of potpourri and spiced pumpkin pie by a fire. Sherry: History by the Glass
