Dark garnet colored, medium bodied, slightly 'flat' or flabby in comparison to the Canon, notes of dusty floral, dark berry, notes of tobacco, leather, spice and subtle oak with moderate tannins on the lingering finish. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2021/04/st-emilion-duo-for-tomahawk-beefsteak.html

Chocolate espresso bean, cured meat, dark brambly berry. Really a great nose, very classically St Emilion. Palate is velvety if loose, with gritty tannin, and a hot, weak finish.

This has definitely improved over time.
Decanted for 1.5 hrs.
Smooth tannins with leather and fruit.

Paired with lamb, new potatoes, etc. for Easter dinner with family. Very good wine. Complex with a bit of earth to balance the fruit.
