It is still on the young side but accessible now with some emerging red fruits and the oak integrating. Still predominantly dark fruited and still with some tannins. A wine with more power than elegance.

For what it’s worth I was told that Michel Gros is petitioning to have this plot elevated to a premier cru—
Usually I try to avoid saying a wine needs more time unless it’s blatantly obvious, given the difficulties of storing wine over time. Here, I think it may be obvious (though I never expected to come away from a 16 year old non-premier/grand cru Burgundy feeling so).
The nose has pleasant, though somewhat muted, red fruits—cherry and strawberry—but retains a woody, even iron-like, quality. The palate shows similar fruit; it’s powerful, but ultimately one-dimensional and still obscured by significant tannins. Maybe they’ll subside somewhat in another five years—

Notoriously hit and miss, this is a miss for me. Ticks a few boxes to show its quality with balance, length and complexity (very farmy) but just doesn't excite

Medium red; nice fruit, some licorice; quite closed, lean, pointed, tannins, fruit appears to be underneath, however currently hidden behind acidity; lowish score at current stage, but likely much better potential in the future

Very nice fruit, tangy and primary. Too much oak on the palate for my taste.
