Blind Tasting: 10 Rose Summer Wines: Clearly past its prime with oxidation notes of wet wool and vegetality. Medium-bodied, quite rich, with a long aftertaste. Has seen better days. Ranked at Nr.6 with Akakies.

This is even better than the 2006, and easily the best Pradeaux Rose I've ever had. Salmon pink color that lures one to believe that it'll be a thin quaffer of a wine. Nothing could be further from the truth. Strawberry, red currant, minerals, lavender and sea breeze on the nose. On the palate, I could guess this as a red wine if I tasted it completely blind. Explosive on the palate and the most remarkable minerality, crushed rock, gravel sensation. Finish is ultra long for rose. I'll amend my earlier statement. The best rose I've ever had, period.

This is a rose for red wine drinkers. Lots of orange and red fruits. Some tannins. Opened up beautifully. Sure it's pricey, but a fun wine to drink. 89-91

not too bad given the fact it has been too old to drink.

Lovely rose colour. Clean mineral aroma with just a hint of berry. Good acidity with a creamy apple jack finish. Possibly now past its best.
