Dominus Vertical plus some white Burgs and a couple of Ports: Golden in color, ever so slightly lighter than gold. The nose is very smokey, oaked and plenty of grapefruits. On the palate, this has great acidity but also lots of tart fruit. Long powdered lemon candies on the finish. This was a bit too oaky to be really outstanding for my tastes, but most of the group really liked it. It was much better a couple hours later, warmer and with more air. There is a lot of life left in this.

This has developed nicely over the last year and is nearly outstanding; it just lacks the depth and intensity to reach that level. Distinct pleasant Meursault aromas of melted butter and nuts. Very well balanced; no longer too oaky. Decent length. This could probably go a few more years, but I doubt it would improve.

Nice, hazlenuts, toast, good sea shell tasting acids. the alcohol seemed a touch out of balance though.
