  A fine medium brick color with purple hues. The nose was rather closed at the beginning, but opened up to reveal lovely notes of game, meat, and violets. On the palate, red fruits tinged with more gamy notes, garrigue and pepper. A medium to full bodied wine, with smooth but noticeable tannins. After three hours, this wine started to sing. A deep, complex wine for a 'Rhone-Villages', it'll last a few more years (A-)
